Introducing the Versatilt An amazing piece of equipment that offers a safe solution for the difficulties facing the wheelchair bound individual and medical professionals, nurses and care givers.
The Versatilt is a wheelchair tilting device that affords the wheelchair seated individual access to needed dental, nursing facilities, assisted care, medical and personal use. It also provides comfort and relaxation.
The Versatilt can recline an individual, seated in their own wheelchair, up to 65 degrees. This angle of tilt, like that of the astronaut couch developed by NASA, allows for the optimum dispersement of weight evenly across the body. The ability to tilt an individual at various degrees, up to and including 65 degrees allows for; optimum dental care, podiatric care, helps with blood flow issues, atrophy, digestion, leg elevation, pressure relief, rehabilitation assessment and care and reduces the risk of bed sores, which is the second leading cause of death of the elderly. By reducing the number of bed-to-chair or chair-to chair transfers, there can be a great savings realized in time, energy, frustration and attendant care as well as the reduction of patient and care giver injuries. It clearly addresses job safety issues and potential workers’ compensation claims as well as patient comfort and peace of mind equating to a higher quality of life. The Versatilt qualifies, for businesses providing services to persons with disabilities, a 50% tax credit. They should consult their tax advisor for more information. The forms are included in the sales portfolio, Federal Form 8826, Disability Access Tax Credit.
